German Bundesliga side TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, ranked number 9 in the world-renowned top-tier German league, beat Mizoram XI 3-0 in a friendly football match played in the Assam Rifles ground here.
The German team played in Aizawl last evening as part of a one-week long tour organised by Switzerland-based Adamant Sports Management AG with the support of Presenting Partners - the German Bundesliga and IT-major SAP.
The match was watched by about 6,000 spectators.
The German team which arrived at the lone Lengpui airport near Aizawl yesterday left Mizoram today.
