Girl dies after jumping in front of train in UP

An unidentified girl was today killed and a youth critically injured when they allegedly jumped in front of a train on Etawah-Kanpur track, police here said.

The duo jumped in front of a train at Punjabi colony outer this afternoon, killing the girl on the spot, they said.

Police said that the youth, who sustained critical injuries, has been admitted to a hospital.

Efforts are being made to identify the girl and the youth, they said.
