Girl killed in road mishap in Amethi

A 20-year-old girl was killed today and her brother seriously injured today when the motorcycle they were riding on was hit by a private bus near Baramasi on Amethi-Pratapgarh road, police said.

Anita Gupta was killed on the spot while her brother suffered from serious injuries when their motorcycle was hit by a private bus, SHO Mohammad Hamid said.

The body has been sent for postmortem, while her injured brother was admitted to a district hospital, they said.

Driver has been arrested and the vehicle seized,police said, adding, further investigation is underway.
