Girl raped in city, one arrested

A girl was allegedly raped by a youth in Entally area of the city, police said today.

Officer-In-Charge of Entally Police Station Atanu Tarafdar said that last night a youth scaled the wall and entered the girl's house and raped her.

The victim's family lodged a complaint with the Entally police station soon after, he said.

Acting on the complaint, police today arrested the youth and produced him before a city court which remanded him to police custody till March 9, Tarafdar said.
