A 22-year-old girl, who had allegedly set herself ablaze after a tiff with her brother, succumbed to burn injuries in a hospital here after battling for life for three days, police said today.
The girl, a resident of Abiguzar area in the heart of the city, had set herself afire at her home on Wednesday, a police spokesman said.
She was shifted to SMHS hospital with 85 per cent burn injuries and died last evening, he said.
Police had registered a case and investigations were on, the spokesman said, adding the body of the girl had been handed over to family for last rites.
