Glass door breaks at Chennai airport, one injured

A glass door shattered at the arrival area of the international airport here today injuring one person.

The glass door at the arrival area broke suddenly injuring one person, who was standing there. The injury was not serious, police said.

The reason for the incident was not known immediately, they said.

Today's incident is the latest in a series of about 50 incidents of collapse of glass panels, granite slabs and false ceiling at the new domestic and international terminals since they were inaugurated in January 2013.
