Global cues lift silver by 0.37% in futures trade

Tracking a firming trend in global market, silver strengthened by 0.37 per cent to Rs 38,390 per kg in evening trade in futures trade today as traders created fresh positions.
The exchange remained closed for the morning session on account of 'Maha Shivratra'.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in far-month July was trading higher by Rs 140, or 0.37 per cent to Rs 38,390 per kg in business turnover of 7 lots.

Likewise, the white metal for delivery in May contracts gained by Rs 134, or 0.35 per cent to Rs 37,936 per kg in 1,247 lots.
Marketmen said the rise in silver prices at futures trade was mostly in step with a firming trend at global market.
Meanwhile, silver rose 1.03 per cent to USD 15.67 an ounce in London.
