Gold bars seized from Spicejet aircraft

Customs officials today seized around 600 grams of gold bars, valued at Rs 16.2 lakh, from a Spice jet aircraft when it arrived at the Netaji Shubash Chandra International airport here from Bangkok.

The gold bars were concealed in a life jacket under a seat in the aircraft, airport Customs officials said.

No one has been arrested in this connection, the officials said.
