Gold prices drifted 0.24 per cent to Rs 25,323 per ten grams in futures trade today as participants trimmed positions, taking negative cues from overseas markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for delivery in February month declined by Rs 62, or 0.24 per cent to Rs 25,323 per ten grams in business turnover of 5,358 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in April contracts traded lower by Rs 58, or 0.23 per cent to Rs 25,455 per ten grams in 25 lots.

Analysts attributed the fall in gold futures to a weak global trend.
Meanwhile, gold shed 0.06 per cent to USD 1,077.50 an ounce in London in early trade.
