Gold worth Rs 87 lakh seized from passenger

Gold biscuits, weighing 2.5 Kgs andvalued at Rs 87 lakh, were seized from a passenger arrived at the airport here from Singapore tonight, police said

As many as 22 gold biscuits were found in the baggage of Saravana Punyakodi who arrived here by an Air India Express flight at 8.30 pm, they said.

The 62-year-old man has been taken into custody, police said.
