Goods train rolls without driver; station, train staff

A goods train rolled without a driver for one km in Dausa district prompting North Western Railway to suspend the Assistant Station Master and the train staff.
The incident took place yesterday when the train, stationary at Bhankri station, started rolling without its staff for nearly one km, NWR CPRO Tarun Jain today said.
A committee was formed to probe the matter which found Assistant Station Master K P Meena, driver Brijbihari, guard Ramesh Chand and assistant driver Man Singh responsible for the incident, following which they were suspended, he added.
