Governor E S L Narasimhan today extended warm greetings to the people of Andhra Pradesh and wished their dream of a 'Swarnaandhra Pradesh' (golden AP) would soon become a reality.
"I wish the state of AP reaches the forefront socially, financially and culturally. For this, the people of the State, especially the youths, should come forward and work together.
"If this happens, I believe, your dream of a golden state will become a reality," the Governor said in a message on the eve of the "Maha Sankalpa Dinam", a day to affirm resoluteness for building a modern AP.
The Governor said two years were completed in the journey of "Navyaandhra" (modern Andhra).
"Today is a very important day for the people of the state. On June 2, people took a pledge (administered by the Chief Minister) for rebuilding the state.
"As a culmination to the week-long programmes after the pledge-taking, the Maha Sankalpa Dinam is being observed. I pray to God to let your resoluteness turn the state into Swarnaandhra Pradesh," Narasimhan said.
