Govt school teacher held for raping student

A government school teacher was arrested for allegedly raping a girl student several times at gunpoint in Kalan village of the district, police said today.

Rajinder Singh (37) was held yesterday after the the parents of the victim, a class IX student, lodged a complaint against him, they said.

The 15-year-old girl was raped by Singh several times during the last one month at gunpoint.

A case has been registered against the accused in this regard, police added.
