Gram, its dal rise on pick up in demand

In restricted activities, gram and its dal prices were higher by up to Rs 300 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today following pick up in demand from retailers.

Traders said uptick in demand from retailers against tight stocks position on fall in supplies from producing regions mainly led to rise in gram and its dal prices.

In the national capital, gram edged up to Rs 5,750- 6,800 from previous level of Rs 5,550-6,500 per quintal. Its dal localand best quality were also higher by Rs 200 each to Rs 7,100-7,400 and Rs 7,500-7,600 per quintal, respectively.

Following are today's pulses rates (in Rs per quintal):
 

Urad Rs 5,500-7,000, Urad Chilka (local) Rs 6,000-6,100, Urad best Rs 6,100-6,600, Dhoya Rs 6,500-6,700, Moong Rs 5,200-5,400, Dal Moong Chilka local Rs 5,700-5,900, Moong Dhoya local Rs 6,300-6,800 and best quality Rs 6,800-7,000.

Masoor small Rs 4,200-4,500, bold Rs 4,250-4,600, Dal Masoor local Rs 4,700-5,200, best quality Rs 4,800-5,300, Malka local Rs 5,000-5,200, best Rs 5,100-5,300, Moth Rs 3,450-3,850, Arhar Rs 4,200, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 6,100-7,900.

Gram Rs 5,750-6,800, Gram dal (local) Rs 7,100-7,400, best quality Rs 7,500-7,600, Besan (35 kg), Shakti Bhog Rs 2,700, Rajdhani Rs 2,700, Rajma Chitra Rs 7,400-10,200, Kabuli Gram small Rs 9,700-10,000, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 5,600-5,800, Peas white Rs 2,500-2,525 and green Rs 2,700-2,800.
