Grenade found at Thangat Mapal

One Chinese-made hand grenade was found by a team of Manipur police bomb squad this morning, police said.

The grenade was recovered from the residential gate of businessman H Kulachandra at Thangat Mapal under Porompat PS around 7.30 am, a police officer said.

Extortion is believed to be the motive, the officer said.

Police took two hours to find the grenade.
