Groundnut oil continues its down trend on reduced demand

Groundnut oil prices continued its down trend for the third consecutive session at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market today due to reduced demand from stockists and retailers amid ample arrivals from producing regions.

While, refined palmolein moved up further on mild offtake from retailers.

Among the non-edibles, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial firmed up following rising demand from shippers and soap industries.

Linseedoil ruled stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.

In the edible segment, groundnut oil dipped by Rs 20 per 10 kg to Rs 1,360 from Friday's level of Rs 1,380 but refined palmolein went up by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 625 as against Rs 623 yesterday.
 

Moving to the non-edible section, Castorseeds bold climbed by Rs 40 per 100 kg to Rs 3,690 from Rs 3,650 and castor oil commercial rose by Rs 8 per 10 kg to Rs 768 as compared to Rs 760 previously.

Linseedoil closed unaltered at Rs 1,100 per 10 kg.
