Groundnut oil drops on reduced offtake

Meanwhile, refined palmolein edged up on fresh demand from retailers amidst bullish Malayasian cues.

Linseed oil ruled stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying.

In the non-edible section, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial declined owing to lower demand from shippers and soap manufacturers.

In futures, castorseeds eased on speculative selling following subdued export enquiries.

In the edible section, Groundnut oil fell by Rs 10 per 10kg to Rs 1,250 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 1,260. However, refined palmolein inched up by rupee per 10kg to Rs 494 as against Rs 493 last weekend.

Turning to non-edible segment,Castorseeds bold slipped by Rs 25 per 100kg to Rs 3,450 from Rs 3,475 and castor oil commercial moved down by Rs 5 per 10kg to Rs 720 from Rs 725. Linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 820 per 10kg.

 

Moving to futures,castorseed December contract resumed slightly lower at Rs 3,570 and later moved up to Rs 3,590 before ending at Rs 3,556 as compared to Rs 3,575 previously, showing a loss of Rs 19 per tonne.
