Groundnut oil prices firmed up at the Vashi oils and oilseeds market here today on good demand from stockists and retailers amidst ongoing festival seasons.
While, refined palmolein and linseeds oil ruled stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying.
In the non-edible segment, castorseed bold and castor oil commercial recovered on renewed demand from shippers and soap manufacturers.

In the edible segment, Groundnut oil gained by Rs 10 per 10kg to Rs 990 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 980. Refined palmolein closed unchanged at Rs 540 per 10kg.
Turning to non-edible section, Castorseed bold climbed by Rs 25 per 100kg to Rs 3,550 from Rs 3,525 and castoroil commercial moved up by Rs 5 per 10kg to Rs 740 from Rs 735.
Moving to futures, castorseeds September contract resumed higher at Rs 3,590 and advanced to Rs 3,665 before settling at Rs 3,649 from Rs 3,571 previously, showing a net gain of Rs 78 per tonne.
