Groundnut oil slips in lacklustre trade

Groundnut oil slipped in an otherwise lacklustre Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today owing to subdued demand from stockists and retailers.

While refined palmolein, castorseeds bold, castor oil commercial and linseeds oil ruled steady in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.

In the edible segment, groundnut oil declined by Rs 15 per 10 kg to Rs 900 from Friday's close at Rs 915 and refined palmolein ended unaltered to Rs 630 per 10 kg.

Moving to non-edible section, castorseeds bold, castor oil commercial and linseeds oil closed unchanged at Rs 4,325 per 100 kg, Rs 895 per 10 kg and Rs 800 per 10 kg, respectively.
