Prices of groundnut and palmolein oil rose by Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on emergence of stockists' buying following improved demand from retailers.
Castor oil in the non-edible section, also went up on increased offtake by consuming industries.
Traders said stockists buying, driven by pick-up in demand from retailers amid restricted supplies from producing belts mainly pushed up groundnut and palmolein oil prices.

In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) rose by Rs 200 to Rs 8,800 per quintal. Groundnut oil sovent refined followed suit and traded higher by Rs 25 to Rs 1,700-1,800 per tin.
Palmolein (RBD) and palmolein (Kandla) oils also traded higher by Rs 200 each to Rs 6,900 and Rs 6,950 per quintal, respectively.
Among non-edible, castor oil recovered by Rs 100 to Rs 7,700-7,800 per quintal.

Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) Rs 8,800, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) Rs 1,700-1,800, Mustard expeller (Dadri) Rs 7,900, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,300-1,345, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,350-1,450, Sesame Mill delivery Rs 8,800, Soybean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) Rs 7,850, Soybean Degum (Kandla) Rs 7,450, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) Rs 5,400, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) Rs 6,900, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 6,900, Palmolein (Kandla) Rs 6,950 and Coconut (per tin) Rs 3,100-3,150.
Non-edible oils: Linseed Rs 9,250, Castor Rs 7,700-7,800, Neem Rs 5,350-5,450.
