Guj govt organises function for outgoing Guv Kohli

The Gujarat government Saturday organised a farewell event here for outgoing Governor Om Prakash Kohli, who completes his five-year term on July 15.

Kohli took over as governor from Margaret Alva on July 16, 2014.

At a function organised in a hotel here, the governor was felicitated by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, a Raj Bhavan official said.

Assembly Speaker Rajendra Trivedi, state ministers and Mayor Patelattended the event.

Kohli, a Rajya Sabha MP from 1994 to 2000, was a former chief of the BJP's Delhi unit and was also president of its students wing, ABVP.
