Gujarat BJP leaders today conveyed the state BJP legislature party's decision to elect Anandi Patel as its new leader to Governor Kamla Beniwal, and requested her that Patel be sworn in as the new Chief Minister.
State BJP president R C Faldu, BJP general secretary Amit Shah and other leaders met the Governor here.
Earlier in the day, the BJP legislature party elected Patel as its new leader unanimously, after Prime Minister- designate Narendra Modi resigned as the Chief Minister of Gujarat alongwith his council of ministers.
Beniwal will administer the oath of office to Anandi Patel at a function at Mahatma Mandir here tomorrow.
