Gur price ends flat on some support

The wholesale gur (jaggery) market settled steady in the national capital today following scattered buying support amidst adequate stocks.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also settled steady on sporadic demand from stockists and retailers.

Marketmen said scattered buying activity at existing levels, mainly kept the prices unchanged.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 3,700-3,800, pedi Rs 3,800-3,900, dhayya Rs 4,000-4,100 and shakkar Rs 4,100-4,200.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 3,250-3,300, chakku Rs 3,250-3,350, khurpa Rs 2,925-2,950 and Ladoo Rs 3,000-3,050.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,300-3,400 and dhayya Rs 3,450-3,550.
