Gur prices decline on fresh arrivals, weak demand

Gur prices dropped by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today following fresh arrivals amid weak demand.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also fell by Rs 100 per quintal on increased supply from manufacturing areas.

Marketmen said fresh supply of stocks in the market against slackness in demand mainly pulled down gur prices.

In Delhi, gur Dhayya and Shakkar prices slipped by Rs 100 each at Rs 2,900-3,000 and Rs 3,000-3,100 per quintal.

Gur chakku and Pedi slid by Rs 50 each at Rs 2,650-2,750 and Rs 2,750-2,850 per quintal.

At Muzaffarnagar, gur chakku and Laddo prices declined from Rs 2,450-2,850 and Rs 2,625-2,700 to conclude at Rs 2,400-2,750 and Rs 2,550-2,650 per quintal.
 

Turnnig to Muradnagar, there also prices of gur pedi and dhayya enquired lower at Rs 2,400-2,450 and Rs 2,450-2,500 from Rs 2,500-2,550 and Rs 2,550-2,600 per quintal.

The following are today's quotations per quintal:

Gur chakku 2,650-2,750, pedi 2,750-2,850, dhayya 2,900-3,000 and shakkar 3,000-3,100.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,300-2,350, chakku 2,400-2,750, khurpa 2,500-2,550 and Ladoo 2,550-2,650.

Muradnagar: Pedi 2,400-2,450 and dhayya 2,450-2,500.
