Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) has not received its stamp duty share of Rs 516.45 crore between 2011-12 and 2014-15 from the Haryana government, an RTI filing has showed.
According to the RTI filing, the state revenue department gives two per cent share of total stamp duty collected from Gurgaon district to MCG. Though the revenue department has collected Rs 41,928 crore as stamp duty in the last four financial years from the Gurgaon district but only Rs 322.02 crore has been given to MCG as against its share of Rs 838.47 crore.
While, MCG did not received its share of Rs 155.30 crore in 2011-12, in 2012-13 it received only Rs 178.98 crore as against its share of Rs 255.41 crore, the filing has showed.
In 2013-14, Rs 98.72 crore was given by the state government to MCG as against its share of Rs 203.37 crore and in 2014-15 MCG received Rs 44.32 crore while its share was Rs 224.39, the RTI filing said.
