Gurgaon police arrests 13 for selling liquor without license

Thirteen people have been arrested for selling liquor without license following raids by Haryana police at 14 liquor vends in Badshahpur area of Gurgaon, neighbouring Delhi.

Police also claimed to have recovered 1,878 bottles of country made liquor, 154 bottles of foreign liquor and 315 bottles of beer from these vends, an official spokesperson said here today.

Fourteen liquor vends were working in different areas of Gurgaon without license and permit, police said.

They said, during investigation it was found that these vends had opened in slums areas.

Investigation was being carried out to find out if any government department was involved in this regard, he said.
