Hand grenade found in Manipur hospital

Suspected militants of KCP (Thongamba Meitei) planted a Chinese-made hand grenade at Imphal Hospital today, police said.

The grenade was found on the fourth floor of the private hospital located in the heart of the town at around 2pm, the police officer said.

He said the grenade was later retrieved by the bomb squad of Manipur police and brought to Lamphel area where it was defused successfully.
