Hardline Hurriyat Conference leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani today called for a general strike across Jammu and Kashmir tomorrow to protest against the killing of a mother-son duo allegedly by a village defence committee (VDC) member in Rajouri.

Geelani has also called for disbanding of the VDCs in the state following three murders committed allegedly by its members in a span of one week.

A National Conference activist was shot dead by another VDC member last Saturday.
