Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today described the results of the Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir and Jharkhand as "people's victory over terrorism and Naxalism".
The mandate the BJP has got in these states reflects the increase in popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and of the party in the entire country, he said.
"The results virtually gagged the leaders and political analysts who said BJP had no political base or cadre in these states," he said.

Khattar said BJP had achieved "grand success" under the leadership of Modi. He also expressed hope that BJP would form government in Delhi.
