Haryana constitutes Backward Classes Commission

Haryana Government today constituted a four-member Backward Classes Commission under the chairmanship of former Punjab and Haryana High Court judge Som Nath Aggarwal.
The Commission shall examine requests for inclusion or exclusion of any class of citizens as a Backward Class and hear complaints of over-inclusion or under-inclusion of any Backward Class and tender such advice to the state government, as it deems appropriate, an official release here said.
The other members of the Commission are Ritambhara Sanghi, Ashok Kumar and Ramesh Chand. Director, Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes has been nominated as ex-officio member secretary of the Commission.
