Vegetable outlets 'Haryana Fresh' would be opened all over Delhi to supply farm fresh veggies from the state to the National Capital, a state minister said today.
'Haryana Fresh' outlets would be opened all over Delhi so that vegetable growers from the state can get remunerative prices by selling their produce in the markets of the National Capital, Haryana Agriculture Minister O P Dhankar said.
Addressing the gathering after inaugurating Kisan Mela at Karnal, he said that mainly farmers of Uttrakhand, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab are supplying vegetables to Delhi.

"Being nearest to Delhi, we would not let the farmers of Haryana lag behind in supply of vegetables to the National Capital," an official release quoted him as saying.
On the availability of fertilisers, he said that there is no shortage in the state and stocks are plenty.
At present, about 13 lakh bags of fertilisers are available and about 23 lakh such bags are expected to arrive in two-three days, he said.
Stern action would be taken against those who are found involved in hoarding of the fertilisers, he warned.
Meanwhile, the Minster presented awards to the progressive farmers on this occasion.
