A youth who immolated himself died during treatment at a hospital in Hisar, police said today.
The victim, identified as Dhannaram of Hosdahar village in Jind district yesterday set himself on fire after pouring kerosene oil, a police spokesperson said.
Hearing his cries, villagers reached the spot, doused the fire and admitted him to a hospital in Hisar where, police said, he died during the treatment.
The body has been sent for post mortem and probe was on to ascertain the reason behind the incident.
