Rajasthan High Court has issued contempt notices to three office bearers of the striking Advocates' Association for entering the court premises and the registry office and tearing off some official files.
The court directed that these notices be served through the Jodhpur Police Commissioner to the President of the Association Ranjeet Joshi, Vice President Ratna Ram Tholia and Secretary Dharmendra Surana and the matter be placed for hearing before a division bench.
Justice Govind Mathur, while issuing the notices, mentioned that the court was informed that a mob led by the office bearers of the association not only entered the court premises and the office of the registry but also tore some official files and took away seals.
"Not only this, they also misbehaved with the litigants present in the court," the contempt order said.
Meanwhile, Joshi said that their strike was peaceful and denied the allegations against the association office bearers.
