Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik today appointed Vice Chancellor of Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University, Kanpur, and Director of Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow.
The Governor has appointed Prof J V Vaishampayan, of Applied Economics Department, Lucknow University, as the Vice Chancellor of Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University, Kanpur for a period of three years from the date of taking charge, a Raj Bhawan release here said.
Besides, the Governor also appointed Prof Rakesh Kapoor, head of Urology Department, Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow as Director for a period of five years or the age of 65 which ever is less, the release added.
