Heat returns after rain in Delhi

Hot conditions prevailed in the city with the maximum temperature settling at 38 degrees Celsius, four notches above normal.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 23.2 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal, said a MeT department official.

Traces of precipitation were also recorded.

Ayanagar area had a low of 19.2 degrees Celsius and gauged 2.2 mm of rainfall. Palam weather station posted 23.2 degrees Celsius and 2.4 mm of rainfall.

Humidity levels oscillated between 17 and 60 per cent.

The weatherman has predicted mainly clear skies for tomorrow.

"The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 35 and 19 degrees Celsius respectively," he said.
 

The city received 24.6 mm rainfall starting Tuesday night. It was the highest on an April day in the last five years.
