Heavy rainfall in Bihar areas

Patna received heavy rainfall bringing down the maximum temperature by a few notches.

As per Met bulletin, Patna recorded the highest rainfall at 106.6 mm followed by 18.0 mm in Bhagalpur, 15.4 mm in Gaya and 5.5 mm in Purnea.

Places like Tribeni and Balmiki in West Champaran district, which too received heavy rainfall, recorded 30 cm rpt 30 cm rainfall in the past 24 hours.

Among the four major cities of the state, Purnea recorded the highest maximum temperature at 32.8 degrees Celsius, followed by 32.4 degrees in Bhagalpur, 31.2 degrees in Gaya and 30.2 degrees in Patna.

The state capital and Gaya recorded three and two degrees below their maximum normal temperature.
 

In its forecast, the MeT office said that Patna may witness generally cloudy sky with intermittent rain tomorrow while Gaya is expected to witness generally cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thunder shower.

Bhagalpur and Purnea may witness generally cloudy sky with moderate rain tomorrow.
