Heavy rains occur at isolated places in UP

Heavy rains occurred at isolated places over western Uttar Pradesh as south-west monsoon continued to be normal in the state.

In eastern areas, light to moderate rains and thundershowers occurred at a few places, the MeT Department said.

Moradabad received 13 cm, Agra 10 cm, Narora, Jalesar 8 cm, Lalitpur 6 cm, Aligarh 5 cm Mathura, Saharanpur, Katerniaghat and Banda 2 cm each of rainfall.

The MeT Department has forecast rains thundershowers at isolated places over the state.
