Helmet compulsory for all two wheeler riders: CJ

Madras High Court Chief Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul today said wearing of helmet was compulsory for all the two wheeler riders.

Talking to newsmen here he said law is common for all and no body could be exempted from it.

The Chief Justice's statement came on the wake of agitating by advocates of Madurai against making helmet wearing compulsory for all, despite court order and government rule.

Earlier unveiling the portrait of the senior advocates Sankaranarayanan and Venkatakrishnan at the bar association building here he said the young advocates should emulate the senior and eminent lawyers.

He also sought the cooperation of the advocates in expediting the pending cases so that ordinary and Poor people would get justice on time.
