Heroin seized in Aizawl

Police Crime Unit officials seized 135 grams of pure heroin in Aizawl, sources said today.

Joseph Lalchhuana, SP CID (Crime) told PTI that the contraband was seized from Chhinga Veng locality here last night and Laltinzova, a Myanmarese national, was arrested in this connection.

He said that the seized drug, packed in the original package called 'Hawng' in Myanmarese language, costed Rs 6.3 lalkh in the local market.

Laltinzova was booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, he added.
