Mizoram Excise and Narcotics
department officials today seized 48 gms of heroin from two places in Aizawl worth around Rs 1.5 lakh, an official statement said.
Three women were arrested in this connection and were booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, it said.
The contraband was smuggled from Myanmar through the Zokhawthar hamlet in Mizoram-Myanmar, the statement added.
