A high-velocity storm hit the Union Territory of Chandigarh and its surrounding areas this evening snapping power supply and uprooting trees.
The storm, with windspeed exceeding 65 kmph, was accompanied by light rain, the weather office said.
It uprooted trees and disrupted power supply in several parts of the city, officials said.
