Himachal CM not to celebrate his birthday

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, who turns 79 tomorrow, has announced he would not celebrate his birthday in view of heavy loss of life and property in natural calamity in Kinnaur and Uttarakhand.

"Because of incessant rains and landslides, the people have suffered huge losses including death of family members and people of the state have sympathies with the victims and their families and I share the grief and sorrow of the people and would not celebrate my birthday", he said.
