one million SMBC Singapore Open sanctioned by the Asian Tour and Japan Golf Tour Organisation (JGTO).
SSP Chawrasia was the pick of the Indians on the final day with a four-under 67, his best round of the week. That included six birdies, four of them in last seven holes.
But at tied-38th, he was not the best Indian, because Rai (70-69-73-70) at two-under 282 finished tied-23rd. Rahil Gangjee, who was in top-10 after the first round, shot a final round of 69, after 68-72-75 in the last three days, to finish even-par 284 and tied-34th.
Shiv Kapur, the only other Indian to make the cut, ended the week at even-par 71 and was tied-64th at 291.
At the top of the heap, Jordan Spieth will need to spend one more day in Singapore in his quest for his first-ever win in Asia and only the second outside United States.
Inclement weather and threat of lightning left the world's top golfer Spieth less than five feet from a final birdie on the 18th hole.
Play was stopped at 2.50 pm (local
time) and finally abandoned at just past 6 pm after seven periodic announcements.
The stoppage and Monday's finish becomes even more dramatic as the birdie on the 18th can bring the World No.1 closer to the unheralded leader, Younghan Song of Korea. Song himself was on a 10-foot putt to save par on the 16th.
A birdie for Spieth and a bogey for Song will put them level at 11-under. Song will need to par the 17th and 18th to get into a play-off or birdie one of the last two holes to win outright and stop Spieth from winning his 10th professional title worldwide. Only one of his previous titles has come outside US and it was the 2014 Australian Open.
