Hockey nationals: TN begins with win over CISF

: Host Tamil Nadu opened its campaign in the Arise Steel 9th Hockey India Senior National Men's Hockey Championship ('B' Division) here Wednesday with a 4-2 win over CISF in Pool 'G'.

Joshua opened the scoring for Tamil Nadu with a field goal in the 7th minute. CISF equalised in the 30th minute through Atif Ateeq.

The host team went ahead in the 34th minute when Rayer V Vinod scored a field goal only to see CISF level again in the 43rd minute through Niraj Yadav.

K Selvaraj put Tamil Nadu ahead in the 45th minute when he scored a field goal. In the 58th minute, the home team converted a penalty corner to seal the win.

Pool E: Delhi Hockey bt Hockey Rajasthan 3-2.
