Himachal Pradesh government today appointed four vice chairpersons to Boards and Corporations accommodating Congress leaders who were denied party ticket or defeated in the December 2012 Assembly polls.
Former Vidhan Sabha Speaker Gangu Ram Musafir, who was defeated from Pachhad constituency, has been appointed as deputy chairman of the State Planning board while former MLA Harbhajan Singh "Bhajji", who was denied ticket from Shimla (urban) constituency, has been appointed as vice-chairman of the State Water Management Board.
Kewal Singh Pathania, who was a strong contender for party ticket from Shahpur in Kangra and was later made vice-chairman of Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC), has been shifted as vice-chairman of State Forest Corporation while Prakash Karad would be the new vice-chairman of National Small Savings Advisory Board.
