The Haryana school education department will take disciplinary action against private schools if they are found open on gazetted holidays, an official statement said today.
"It is usually seen that many private schools are found open on gazetted holidays in the state which is against the rules," the release said.
It said that all deputy commissioners, district education officers and district elementary education officers had been directed to ensure that private schools should not be open on gazetted holidays in the future.
If any such school is found open in their respective jurisdiction, the DCs and DEOs should immediately submit a report so that disciplinary action can be taken, it added.
