Hry STF arrests two drug peddlers, seizes 5 kg of opium

Two persons were arrested today on charges of drug peddling and five kilogram of opium was seized from them in Haryana's Hisar district, police said today.

They were arrested by the state police's Special Task Force (STF) near Bhojraj village in the district.

Those arrested were identified as Nahru Singh, a resident of Rajasthan's Jodhpur district and Anil of Bhojraj , a Haryana Police spokesman said here.

He said after receiving information about the suspects, the police acted swiftly and nabbed the two persons.

The spokesman said a person, coming from the Tikri border side, tried to run after seeing the STF team, deployed near Bhojraj.

 

The team immediately nabbed him along with his accomplice and seized five kilogram of opium, he said.

The spokesman said a case was registered under provisions of the NDPS Act at the Sadar Police Station in Hisar.

During interrogation, both the accused confessed that they supplied opium in districts of Hisar, Fatehabad and Sirsa in Haryana, he claimed.
