HUL Q1 profit up 10% at Rs 1,174 cr

FMCG major Hindustan Unilever (HUL) today reported an increase of 9.79% in standalone net profit to Rs 1,173.90 crore for the first quarter ended June 30.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 1,069.16 crore in April-June quarter of the preceding fiscal.
HUL's net sales were up 3.56% to Rs 7,987.74 crore during the quarter under review as against Rs 7,712.71 crore, the company said in a BSE filing.
Hindustan Unilever's stock ended the day at Rs 920.45 on BSE, down 2.04% from the previous close.
