Maximum temperatures today hovered around normal level in Punjab and Haryana while humid weather conditions persisted in both the states.
In Punjab, Amritsar, Ludhiana and Patiala recorded maximum at 34.8 deg C, 34 deg C and 34.1 deg C respectively, MeT department report said.
Union Territory Chandigarh received marginal rainfall of 0.8 mm while city's maximum was 31.5 deg C.
In Haryana, Bhiwani had a high of 36.4 deg C while Ambala, Hisar and Narnaul settled at 33 deg C, 36 deg C and 33 deg C respectively.
The weather department predicted light to moderate rains at few places in the neighbouring states in the next 24 hours.
