Hyderabad police crack down on illegal money-lending

As many as 56 persons were today rounded up from various parts of Old City area here on the charge "illegal financing", police said.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South Zone) V Satyanarayana said a special drive was conducted against these illegal money-lenders, and cases were registered against 30 of them.

These people lent money by charging exorbitant interest and accepting collateral security, he said.
